Belfast Happiest City in the U.K.

A study has concluded that Belfast is the happiest city in the U.K. A previous study had shown that Belfast had the best quality of life of any city in the U.K.

The study seems to imply that the "peace" caused by the Good Friday Agreement is the driving force, but anyone who lives here knows that is nonsense. I would say that better family life, more relaxed working life, good city layout and proximity to the country have a lot to do with it.
